My 3 Ways to Make Oatmeal Not Boring!

We had our first frost over the weekend. I love oatmeal at a time like this!

  1. One of my favorites: oatmeal with chopped apples, maple-glazed pumpkin seeds and chocolate-covered cacao nibs: (** How to Make Maple-Glazed Pumpkin Seeds)

2. Yummy oatmeal with frozen wild blueberries, honey, cinnamon and cream

3. I also love oatmeal with just fresh warm berries and honey!

  1. I’m a huge “oatmealer” as well – I have it every morning! My favourite version features a whole mashed banana for sweetness, two tablespoons of cocoa powder, and a tablespoon or peanut butter on top. Tastes like a peanut butter brownie in creamy oatmeal form! I also love topping my oats with crumbled scones or muffin, blobs of yogurt, and seeds/crushed nuts. 🙂 Lovely photos!
BTW, I just discovered your blog and absolutely love it. Thank you for sharing such awesome recipes – I can’t wait to try them out!

      1. Somewhat – although I start out a bit slow, I eat every few hours and then a big dinner on most days! Just my natural constitution, I guess. Seems to agree with me because I stay at a pretty healthy weight! Especially for someone my age (65). I love my own cooking. haha

      2. Girl, I know what you mean! I love my own cooking too 🙂 I guess everyone has a different body schedule and composition – I like having a big breakfast, lunch and dinner without snacks in between 🙂
